Alicante Airport is the sixth busiest airport in Spain and serves destinations such as Alicante itself, Benidorm, Denia, Calpe, Torrevieja and all points along the Costa Blanca.
Around 80% of all passenger traffic at Alicante Airport comes from international flights, with the passengers from the UK, Holland, Germany, France, Italy and Sweden being amongst the highest number of visitors.
Alicante Airport is located nine kilometres to the southeast of the region's capital city in the municipality of Elche.
Ticket sales and luggage check-in take place on the ground floor, while boarding for both domestic and international flights takes place on the terminal's first floor and in the new temporary passenger processing zone in T2, connected to the main building via walkway.
The passenger restricted access zone has a waiting area with shops, restaurants and cafeterias. T2 has a new waiting area for international flights.![]()
The Alicante Airport has an excellent selection of cafés, restaurants and bars, and both duty-free and regular shopping outlets are available. Products on offer include: cosmetics, sporting goods, delicatessen goods, clothing, toys, electronics, and there are several other stores with music, press and books available.
Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets, ramps and lifts are located across the Alicante Airport. Specially designated parking areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal.
