BENIDORM, Alicante
In the middle of La Marina Baixa region you can find Benidorm, one of the most important tourist centres on the Costa Blanca , because of its brilliant beaches of soft-sand, crystal waters and a wonderful weather, as well as for the great buildings of quality services offer such as, leisure centres, hotels, restaurants, etc…. Benidorm's historic quarter is situated on a low hill, between its 2 well known beaches: Poniente and Levante. It's an old fishing town, with the old church of San Jaime from the 18th century, On the Canfali hills peak you can find el Balcón del Mediterraneo, from where you can see a fantastic panoramic view of the coastline.
Benidorm offers many leisure activities such as a promenade walk leading to the park of L'Aigüera or an exciting day in "Terra Mítica", a fabulous Mediterranean theme park .
Gastronomy
In the local gastronomy we can try the seafood and rice dishes. Famous and delicious dishes as la Paella, ali-oli sauce (garlic sauce ) which accompanies many of the dishes.
The neighborhoods of Benidorm
Next to Benidorm there is a mountain chain and cliffs near to the north all the way down to the sea where the towns of Altea and Alfaz del Pi are located. next to the Rock of Ifach reserve you can also find the town of Calpe.
